Under the patronage of the Tuscany Region and the Municipalities of San Miniato, Gambassi Terme, Montaione, and Castelfiorentino, under the aegis of the European Association of the Via Francigena, in collaboration with UISP Zona Cuoio and UISP Empolese Valdelsa, organize:
- Tappa 30 Run competitive 26km running race
- Tappa 30 Walk recreational walking event on the same 26km route as the Tappa 30 Run
- Short Run competitive race on the Pieve di Coiano - Gambassi Terme section, 14km on the same route as the Tappa 30 Run
- Short Walk recreational walking event on the Pieve di Coiano - Gambassi Terme section, 14km on the same route as the Tappa 30 Run
T30 Run
“Memorial Massimo Tedeschi”
Competitive running race of approximately 26 km on the Via Francigena route that leads from San Miniato to Gambassi Terme. The event is open to all adult athletes, in compliance with current health regulations (competitive athletics medical certificate).

TAPPA 30 Walk
San Miniato - Gambassi Terme
Simultaneously with the T30 Run “Memorial Massimo Tedeschi”, the recreational walking event Tappa 30 Walk will also start on the same route of approximately 26 km. The recreational walking event is aimed at all those who want to complete the route on foot, while aware that they will not be included in any ranking. However, they can benefit from all the care and assistance reserved for competitive athletes for a maximum time of 7 hours from the start time.

Short Run
Pieve di Coiano - Gambassi Terme
The competitive Short Run takes place on the same route as the T30 Run “Memorial Massimo Tedeschi”, but the Short Run starts from Pieve di Coiano towards Gambassi Terme. Participants in the Short Run can benefit from all the care and assistance reserved for competitive athletes for a maximum of 4 hours from the start time. The event is open to all adult athletes, in compliance with current health regulations (competitive athletics medical certificate).
- Start at 9:30 AM from Castello di Coiano towards Gambassi Terme
- Finish in Gambassi Terme, 359 m a.s.l.
Short Walk
Pieve di Coiano - Gambassi Terme
The recreational Short Walk takes place simultaneously with the Short Run on a reduced route of approximately 14 km. The route is the same as the competitive race from Pieve di Coiano towards Gambassi Terme. Participants in the Short Walk can benefit from all the care and assistance reserved for competitive athletes for a maximum of 4 hours from the start time.

The event is scheduled for Sunday, SEPTEMBER 20, 2026
ROUTE CHARACTERISTICS
Undulating route that starts at an altitude of 140 m a.s.l. and reaches 359 m a.s.l.; 90% of it is on dirt roads and faithfully follows the TAPPA 30 section of the Via Francigena.
REFRESHMENT STATIONS
There will be 4 refreshment stations along the route, equidistant from each other, plus a final one at the finish line.
Thanks to the attention and kindness of the owners of the renowned CASTELLO DI COIANO Wineries, a sumptuous refreshment station reserved for all participants will be set up. In addition to the classic drinks reserved for runners, those who intend to proceed more slowly can taste the prestigious wines of the Castello di Coiano Winery, accompanied by the gastronomic delicacies of our territory.
The Castello di Coiano - today specialized in the production of Tuscan oil and wine - stands along the Via Francigena route, in the section that leads from San Miniato to San Gimignano, and during the Middle Ages became an important stopping point for pilgrims who found refreshment in the peace and beauty of these lands.
Large final buffet in Gambassi Terme, carefully set up and kindly offered by Associazione ONLUS Neri e Ferramosca.

Short Walk
Non-competitive recreational walk of approximately 14 km on the same route as the T30 Run “Memorial Massimo Tedeschi”, starting from Pieve di Coiano.

SERVICES INCLUDED IN REGISTRATION
- Shuttle service for transporting runners from Gambassi Terme to the starts as specified in the following schedule.

- Ambulance service with defibrillator and doctor - medical points will be at the finish and also along the route, and will be indicated at the start of the event
