Under the patronage of the Tuscany Region and the Municipalities of San Miniato, Gambassi Terme, Montaione, and Castelfiorentino, under the aegis of the European Association of the Via Francigena, in collaboration with UISP Zona Cuoio and UISP Empolese Valdelsa, organize:

  • Tappa 30 Run competitive running race of 26km
  • Tappa 30 Walk recreational walking event on the same 26km route as the Tappa 30 Run
  • Short Walk recreational walking event on the Pieve di Coiano - San Miniato section of 14km on the same route as the Tappa 30 Run
  • Short Run competitive race of the Tuscan Running Circuit (CPT) on the Pieve di Coiano - San Miniato section of 14km on the same route as the Tappa 30 Run

T30 Run

“Memorial Massimo Tedeschi”

The T30 Run “Memorial Massimo Tedeschi” is a competitive running race of approximately 26 km on the Via Francigena route that leads from Gambassi Terme to San Miniato. The event is open to all adult athletes, in compliance with current health regulations (competitive athletics medical certificate).

  • Start at 9:00 AM from Gambassi Terme 359 m a.s.l., Piazza Giuseppe Di Vittorio - Arrival in San Miniato, 140 m a.s.l., in Piazza del Duomo

TAPPA 30 Walk

Gambassi Terme - San Miniato

Simultaneously with the T30 Run “Memorial Massimo Tedeschi”, the recreational walking event Tappa 30 Walk will also start on the same route of approximately 26 km. The recreational walking event is aimed at all those who want to complete the route on foot, even though they are aware that they will not be included in any ranking. However, they can benefit from all the care and assistance reserved for competitive athletes for a maximum time of 7 hours from the start time.

Short Walk

Pieve di Coiano - San Miniato

The recreational walking event Short Walk will take place simultaneously with the T30 Run “Memorial Massimo Tedeschi” and the Tappa 30 Walk on a reduced route of approximately 14 km. The route is the same as the competitive race, but the Short Walk will start from Pieve di Coiano towards San Miniato. Participants in the Short Walk can benefit from all the care and assistance reserved for competitive athletes for a maximum of 4 hours from the start time.

  • Start at 9:30 AM from Castello di Coiano towards San Miniato
  • Arrival in San Miniato, 140 m a.s.l., in Piazza del Duomo

Short Run CPT

Pieve di Coiano - San Miniato

The competitive race of the Tuscan Running Circuit (CPT) Short Run will take place on the same route as the T30 Run “Memorial Massimo Tedeschi”, but the Short Run will start from Pieve di Coiano towards San Miniato. Participants in the Short Run can benefit from all the care and assistance reserved for competitive athletes for a maximum of 4 hours from the start time.

  • Start at 9:30 AM from Castello di Coiano towards San Miniato
  • Arrival in San Miniato, 140 m a.s.l., in Piazza del Duomo

The event is scheduled for Sunday, SEPTEMBER 28, 2025


ROUTE CHARACTERISTICS

Undulating route that starts at an altitude of 332 m a.s.l. to reach 140 m a.s.l.; 90% of it is on dirt roads and faithfully retraces the TAPPA 30 section of the Via Francigena in reverse.


REFRESHMENT STATIONS

There will be 4 refreshment stations along the route, equidistant from each other, plus a final one at the finish line.

Thanks to the attention and kindness of the owners of the renowned CASTELLO DI COIANO Wineries, a sumptuous refreshment station reserved for all participants will be set up.

In addition to the classic drinks reserved for runners, for those who intend to proceed more slowly, they can taste the prestigious wines of the Castello di Coiano Winery which will accompany the gastronomic delicacies of our territory.

The Castello di Coiano - today specialized in the production of Tuscan oil and wine - stands along the Via Francigena route, in the section that leads from San Miniato to San Gimignano and during the Middle Ages became an important stopping point for pilgrims who found refreshment in the peace and beauty of these lands.

  • € 15.00 from September 16 to September 25.

Short Run CPT

Competitive race of the Tuscan Running Circuit (CPT) of approximately 14 km on the same route as the T30 Run “Memorial Massimo Tedeschi” starting from Pieve di Coiano and finishing in San Miniato. On-site registration is not possible.

  • € 10.00 until 23:59 on September 23, 2025
  • € 13.00 from September 24, 2025 to September 26, 2025
